An deputy with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office in California was faced with a precarious task earlier this week: How to safely free a bear that had become trapped inside a Subaru Outback near Lake Tahoe.
The black bear, which probably had smelled food inside the vehicle, inflicted so much damage that the doors would not open.
Deputy Lade, as he’s identified on Facebook, appeared to have no other choice but to put his fist through the window – and run to safety – and allow the bear to climb out and flee into the forest.
A job well done by Deputy Lade, and to whomever decided to add sound effects to the video.
