Why troll from a boat if you can hook fish while driving in the comfort of your car? The accompanying footage shows YouTube user ImBeFishin hooking an impressive muskie while cruising alongside a river in his Toyota Corolla.
He either used mounted cameras or someone else videotaped while ImBeFishin trolled a large lure behind a planer board attached to the line to help with the presentation. (We've shortened the video but the entire version can be viewed here.)
Has anyone else ever hooked a muskie while trolling from a car? We have no idea.
Not only did ImBeFishin manage to hook a fairly respectable muskie, he scrambled out of the car and down the bank to reel in his prize, and back up the bank to show it off in front of the camera. Ultimately, he let the fish go.
(We're assuming this is a legit catch. Note the gills moving when the fish is being displayed inside the car.)"Definitely a first time for everything," ImBeFishin says in the video. "Not a huge one, but out of a car window. I doubt many people have caught a muskie out of a car window while trolling."
Like we said, we're not sure anyone else has even thought to try.
