Transworld Snowboarding is reporting that Olympic hopeful Danny Davis has been injured in a non-snowboarding accident in Park City, Utah.
The extent of Davis' injuries, if he was in fact injured, remains unclear. I've sent emails to sources, asking for details, and will share them if I get a response.
Davis, who is currently second to defending-Olympic champion Shaun White in qualifying for a spot on the U.S. halfpipe team, is a close friend of Kevin Pearce, who is recovering from a severe brain injury suffered two weeks ago during halfpipe practice in Park City. (Pearce is making slow but significant progress.)
The top U.S. snowboarders are in Park City for the last qualifiers this weekend. The Vancouver Games begin Feb. 12.
