You do not want to mess with an angry raccoon but a man at a Bakersfield zoo had no choice when an escaped raccoon ambushed him and his daughter outside the animal's exhibit.
According to ABC News the father, Ian Smith, managed to snatch the raccoon away from his daughter, McKenzie, but the animal attacked briefly his face and bit him several times on the hands as he pinned the critter on the ground.
The incident occurred at the California Living Museum and wildlife experts there told ABC News they knew the critter was on the loose but apparently did not feel it was necessary to warn visitors. Fortunately, nobody was seriously injured in what was clearly a freak accident.
McKenzie and her father are quoted in the video.
